Party Llama Rentals

Web Design & Development
Project Overview
Party Llama Rentals is a family owned company that has been working within the party event space for 5+ years and are now venturing to start their own business. I was given the task to not only create the website for Party Llama, but also implement a booking system that customers can use to reserve items for their events all online.
The Problem
Giving cutomers the ability to reserve their party item needs would create a pleasant experience for both parties. This however will result in changing the process that Party Llama is already used to. Previously orders were being paid in person during the day of the event as the only option.

Finding a booking system that fits within the rental space as opposed to general e-commerce, as well as being easy to use
on both the user and client sides was definitely that challenge.
User Goals
• Be able to have a hassle free checkout experience
• Be able to get a clear understanding of all the inventory available
Business Goals
• Reach out to the online checkout market to start off business on the right foot
Challenges to Achieve Goal
While having a checkout system would be great for everyone, I was building the website through a platform called Webflow. Webflow does have an online commerce system, however it is still in the early stages and not as refined for the needs of Party Llama. I was tasked with finding a third party system that allows easy integration with other websites as well as easy to use for my clients so
they can adjust on their own whenever they please
Research
Taking a look at various jumper websites and comparing them to the needs of Party Llama, I created a sitemap that can start outlining what the website will have.
Forecasting one of the bigger hurdles that might some up, I researched rental platforms that allow easy integration with other websites.
I am building this website out using a platform called Webflow which let’s me have more customization when using a drag and drop builder.
I eventually found Booqable which allows easy 3rd party integration through a simple embedded code solution which let me move forward to
the next step in the project
Wireframes
Taking the approved sitemap allowed for me to put a bit more focus on the presentation of the website and the contents of the sitemap It allowed for me to easily display al the items that are available to rent, the information that a user would see within a product page as well as recommend additional items on each product page so users can view other possible items they might like. This was one of the clients bigger points since they
often rent out multiple items at once.
Mockups
Once the wireframes were approved I dived deep into designing the look of the website that would match the current brand that Party Llama had. I went through three different iterations of the design until the client approved the look. I then made sure the design stayed true across different responsive screens from desktop computers all the way to mobile phones. Once that was done, integrating bootable was a breeze!
How it Works
1. Browse available items
2. Be able to checkout from within the platform
3. The company then see’s the order on their end and reaches out to client to finalize details
4. User finalizes the order and awaits event day.
